According to Soap Opera Digest (SOD), actor Jasper Newman will be joining the soap in the days (pun intended) ahead. While the report indicates he’ll be playing the role of “Colin”, no last name has been provided as of this writing. So, who will this new character be connected to?

DOOL spoilers suggest that Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian) will have a secret meeting with someone the week of April 24th. Could that “someone” be Colin? As per SOD, Mr. Newman’s debut will be Thursday, April 27th. In added teasers, it seems that fans will finally understand Ms. Hunter’s motives behind the tampered biscuits debacle. Could Colin be linked to this storyline?

It’s interesting to note that Jasper, the actor, is originally from London, the very same place Sloan Petersen’s (Jessica Serfaty) family is from. Fans may recall that Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) had an affair with Sloan’s dad during her university years, in London. Coincidence? Perhaps not.

Then again, Colin may not play a UKer at all.

While there’s very little information on Mr. Newman’s new DOOL character, the opportunities for him to cause drama are endless! He may be Talia’s ex-boyfriend from New York; then again, he could be Sloan’s brother looking for some revenge on his sister, Chanel, or Paulina Price (Jackée Harry). Days love a good plot twist, so maybe he has nothing to do with the Sweet Bits storyline but rather is linked to Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien). He could be a former boyfriend of hers that returns to help her forget about Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) or Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson).
