Bringing Up Bates might be canceled by UPtv but that doesn’t mean that fans forgot the Bates family. So, plenty of people were happy to see Trace and Lydia Bates reveal the gender of their baby. Lydia Romeike is expecting her very first child, and on April 1, the news arrived that a reveal came along with a lot of joy and happiness.

Like the Duggar family from Counting On, the former UPtv stars just love having kids. Did you know that in the family there are now 24 grandchildren and more are coming along this year? Well, the news and excitement about pregnancies never seem to pall with Gil and Kelly who produced 19 of their own kids. Actually, part of the fun of watching the TV show was seeing that they didn’t need to send out invites for a party. their own family was more than enough to field a football team.

Bringing Up Bates alum Erin once said that she and her husband Chad Paine would love to raise 10 children. However, due to medical concerns, that might not happen. Still, there are plenty of kids to go around in the family and now, Trace and  Lydia Bates will add theirs to the growing family. When Trace shared about the gender reveal being on YouTube, over 5K people liked it in just the first hour.

On YouTube, the popularity of the family is highlighted by the fact that inside of one hour, 18K people watched it. That number will probably grow exponentially in the next few days. In the 23-minute video, fans saw that the family all gathered together along with friends. Outdoors, everyone went to see the magical moment. A huge sign lit up that said, “baby.” Then fireworks went off adding to the spectacle.

After some time, the  Bringing Up Bates family saw that blue smoke started rising. So, it will be yet another baby boy for the family to love and enjoy. If you don’t know, Trace and Lydia expect their baby in September 2023. UPtv fans who watched the video seemed almost as excited as Trace was. One of them, Shelia Kuhn commented, “…Congratulations on your gender reveal today…so happy for you and Lydia and all of the special memories you will be making in the next several months before baby arrives!! 💙”
