General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) is living under the same roof with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) again, and it’s going to give him a different perspective that he didn’t expect to glean. He was rather ticked to find that he would have to saddle up next to her at his grandmother’s place if he wanted to have any shot at getting custody of his baby brother, Ace Cassadine. Slowly but surely, Spencer is going to befriend Esme enough to gauge what she’s really after — love. Esme feels all alone and wants just one person in this world who she feels understands her. He will be determined to become that person, no matter what the cost.

If the way to the custody of Ace is through Esme’s heart, Spencer will do it. He’s going to give this some serious thought before pulling the trigger, and sadly, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) might even be the person who initially gives him the idea to fool Esme into thinking he’s falling in love with her. Of course, she won’t know she throws that on Spencer’s radar, though. When he starts thinking this could be the way to take Esme down, he’ll deliberate over whether or not he should include Trina in his plans. Ultimately, he’s going to decide against that.

General Hospital Updates – Spencer Cassadine Breaks Trina Robinson’s Heart For The Right Reasons

Spencer needs Esme to truly believe he’s into her, and that means she needs to believe his affection for Trina is a thing of the past. He won’t feel he has any choice but to make a very public display of his alleged lack of feelings for Trina. He will humiliate her and break her heart — proving to her family that they were right all along. Fortunately for Trina, this might push her back into her mother’s arms, and possibly into both of her fathers’. It won’t stem the pain Spencer leaves her with though, and she’s going to have a very hard time accepting that Spencer never loved her or suddenly stopped.

Is This It For Trina Robinson And Spencer Cassadine?

Obviously, Spencer will eventually see his plan with Esme through and it’ll have to fall apart, but fans are going to be left wondering if this is the end of the road for this couple. Many Sprina fans are sure to lament since this couple seemed to just be taking flight, but once again, Esme will get in the way.
