General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) is starting to feel differently about his alleged boss, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). He wouldn’t dare tell Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) or Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) that he’s having doubts about seeing this project through but will struggle to reconcile his feelings with himself. He was hired to do a job. He already botched things by getting attached to Joss in the mix of it all. Now, as he starts to feel his loyalty lies more with Sonny than Michael, it’s going to present some serious problems.

General Hospital Spoilers — Dex Heller Didn’t Just Save Sonny Corinthos’ Life

When that sniper had his scope planted right on Sonny, it was a split-second decision that made Dex use his own body as armor and protect Sonny from the fire. He is still trying to come down from the adrenaline high that being under fire brought on. Sonny has now welcomed Dex into his home and is taking him under his wing almost like a son. A father-son relationship is something Dex has been lacking for most of his life, and he never expected to find it in the mob, but here he is. As Dex starts to mull over the events that went down in that warehouse, he will realize his instinct to protect Sonny wasn’t premeditated as a ploy to make sure he trusts him. That was genuinely what he wanted to do.

General Hospital Updates – Dex Heller Could Turn This Around

When Michael barged in on Joss and Dex and learned they were indeed coupled up, Dex was forced to start thinking about his relationship. No, not the one he has with Joss, nor Michael — the relationship he has with Sonny. He’s trying not to overthink things, but he can’t help but ask himself how he was able to think so quickly in the moment to protect Sonny at all costs. This is going to make him realize he doesn’t actually want to put Sonny behind bars, which isn’t going to jive with his plans for a relationship with Joss.

He Won’t Consult Michael Corinthos

Dex is taking smart steps, led by Michael’s lecture, to steer clear of Joss. They need to stay apart to convince Sonny that he can trust Dex. In the meantime, Dex is also going to start feeling a certain way about Sonny. Not having Joss or Michael around to sway him as he is steeped in the culture of Sonny’s world will leave Dex feeling at home.
