The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Daniel Blasts Phyllis For Meddling

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal Daniel losing it with his mother after learning what she has been up to. Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) knew his mother went on what she said was a business trip, but after learning from Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) really embarked on a journey to Portugal to bring Heather Stevens (Bail Bloom) home with Daniel’s daughter, Lucy, he is furious that Phyllis didn’t mind her business.

He realizes he never should have told Phyllis what was going on in his personal life because she never knows when to mind her own business and stop meddling in her kids’ lives. When Phyllis returns home and realizes that Daniel knows what she did, she wants to meet with him immediately and save herself, but this might be a case of ‘be careful what you wish for,’ as Phyllis soon learns.

“He’s extremely mad, in fact, he’s furious,” Michael Graziadei said in the February 23, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “He wants to deal with his mom now. What human being wants their mother meddling in their personal life with the person he loves? This is definitely a tipping point for him.”

Of course, Phyllis makes every excuse in the world, as she does with every wrong move she makes — and those are a lot of wrong moves, especially of late. She just wanted to tell Heather all about Daniel’s new gaming project so she would feel encouraged to come back to him with his daughter. But that doesn’t soothe Daniel at all.

“He had a timetable in his mind of how he wanted things to go, so when everything’s rushed and forced and pushed by Phyllis, it defeats the whole purpose,” Graziadei told Digest. “He’s never been this mad at his mom and he makes a shocking decision.”

We know that Heather does show up in Genoa City soon with Lucy in tow, so it looks like Phyllis’ meddling did something. Too bad it might cost her her son — and maybe even a relationship with her granddaughter.
