The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers document that Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) may or may not be awarded to Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). But let us look at the bigger soapy picture.
Assuming Douglas becomes a fixture at the cliff house where the Finnegan side of his family lives. Alternatively, a projection of him spending more time in that setting is also reasonable.
In either scenario, Douglas can be written into scenes where the seemingly impenetrable Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) will attempt to reestablish ties with her son and grandson. Douglas would instantly become the fixer.
Who uttered the famous phrase in this section’s header? Why, Douglas, of course.
Samiri’s character was the decisive force that altered that storyline. He overheard his father mention that Beth Spencer (now played by Jordyn Lynn Ariza) was alive.
Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) assumed Douglas was speaking about Beth being alive in heaven. But then Clifton’s great reaction shot let the audience know he understood what Douglas meant. Liam’s tell to Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) led to an epic family reunion.
Among other offenses, Douglas proved instrumental in breaking the frame Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) applied to Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang). Everyone was outraged that Thomas again asked his son to lie about what he knew. That was also a key factor during the Beth storyline.
Thomas pressured Douglas, trying to make him believe that Brooke did not want his grandparents, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen), to remarry. While that plot point was true Douglas should never have been forced to make that choice.
However, Thomas soon engineered a scenario where he asked Douglas to make another choice. But Douglas initially rejected the offered options, living with his father or remaining with his adoptive Spencer family, choosing Steffy instead.
Sheila believes she is smarter than her opponents. She also believes she knows what is best for the people, like John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), whom she claims to love.
Inserting Douglas into the Finnegan’s day-to-day world would inevitably lead to him dealing with Sheila. Finn and Steffy have not been able to retain control of their emotions where Brown’s character is concerned. Douglas is a prodigy who would present a major challenge to Sheila on B&B.
