The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is in for an unpleasant surprise when he discovers his parents are lovers! Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) became intimate the night before, and Kyle and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) know there’s something different.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Traci Abbott Realizes It First

Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) realizes things have changed between Jack and Diane first, after teasing them about misbehavior in the bedroom the night before. They laugh it off and Jack admits that he and Diane are back together as a couple now, with the threat of Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) a thing of the past. Jack feels like they can all take a deep breath now, his and Diane’s frame-up having worked, since the Chicago Police were satisfied even if Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) wasn’t.

Jack admits to Traci that Kyle might have a period of adjustment once they reveal they’re back together to him, as well as Summer. Summer’s a bit caught in the middle of the war between her mother Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and her mother-in-law although there more recently was an enforced cease-fire.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Sensing A Change In Intimacy

Jack and Diane are sharing a quiet moment in the living room when Kyle and Summer come downstairs, and both of them sense a change in intimacy between their parents. Summer, like Traci, senses the long-parted couple is coupled up again, just because of her women’s intuition kicking in. Kyle wonders if Diane spent the night to be safe from Jeremy, not having been updated on the most recent events. Everything they’d tried before to oust the criminal from their lives hadn’t ever worked, after all, so he brings up the question of Stark’s status. Kyle needs to know if he needs to worry about Summer and Harrison Locke’s (Kellen Enriquez) safety.

Jack Abbott Updates The Family

Jack reassures Kyle that Stark is now in custody and his threats have been neutralized, but he also confirms that he and Diane have reconciled romantically. Kyle is thrown a bit since even though he sensed they were getting closer, he just kind of ignored it. Diane picks up on her son’s discomfort and assures him reconciling with Jack wasn’t end game, their mother-and-son relationship was.

Diane never thought this outcome would happen in a million years, but both she and Jack worry when Kyle and Summer suddenly head out to the office. Even though most children of divorce dream of their parents reconciling, Kyle worries that if they don’t work out he’ll lose his mom again!
