However, Nicole blew that by talking to Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) about her and Eric’s child. Unfortunately, Eric is blaming Nicole for something that really wasn’t her fault.

Nicole sees Sloan as an opportunist. Nicole has seen what Sloan has tried to do to Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and his wife, Paulina Price (Jackee Harry). Nicole knows Sloan likes to use people to her advantage and then drop them. Eric is a pass time until Sloan hooks up with another man. Nicole is afraid that Eric will get attached and end up being hurt by Sloan.

Nicole knows that she has screwed things up with Eric, but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t still love him. Eric is the love of Nicole’s life, and he always will be. Nicole cannot see a way to fix things with Eric now. Eric is still upset over the baby. Eric is grieving over his mother. Eric is not open to talking to Nicole, much less reuniting with her.

Marlena has been fighting this virus for some time and is getting weaker at the moment. Eric and the rest of the family are on death watch while they hope for a miracle. Things get worse when Marlena passes away on the hospital rooftop. Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will fail to bring Marlena back. Marlena’s death brings Sloan closer to Eric because she also lost her mother.

Sloan Petersen Understands Eric Brady’s Plight

Eric feels that Sloan may be the only person who understands what he is going through. Eric lost his mother because someone withheld a treatment that she needed. Sloan lost her mother because she was fighting with Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and fell off a roof. Eric and Sloan may become even closer after this ordeal.

Some spoilers suggest that Eric will marry Sloan in the future, something his family would not want. Eric may believe he is in love with Sloan. Eric could decide that he and Sloan are compatible and could have a great future together. The closer Eric gets to Sloan, the more upset Nicole becomes.
