The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) recently accepted a prime position at Newman Enterprises. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) valued the loyalty he demonstrated, so she installed him as Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) replacement at Newman Media.

Nate has developed his confidence in response to the sucker punch that effectively ended his career as a surgeon. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) was justifiably upset that Nate and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) cavorted at New Hope. But was wrong to physically attack his cousin.

While Elena and Nate have remained together, their relationship was severely tested. Devon’s relationship with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) just ended because he cavorted with the biological mother of his son.

Devon realizes that he wronged Amanda just as Elena broke his trust. However, Amanda’s move to Virginia means that he will not have to face the woman he betrayed like Elena had to face him in the time that followed her moral mistake.

Nate believes that Devon was holding him to an impossible standard and was the reason, building off Elena’s betrayal, James’ character would not allow him room to grow at Chancellor-Winters.

Devon has not told Nate he might be right. But Devon discussed the matter with people he trusts, implying that Nate’s instinct was generally accurate.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Elena Dawson In Love Or Not?

Elena opted not to take a good position in Baltimore, Maryland. That meant she is still in love with Nate and believed he was worth returning to.

It appeared Elena was in love with Devon while they were together. But that connection was not complete because she was drawn to Nate and then acted on her impulses.

However, Victoria is used to getting what and who she wants. So, if Heinle’s character is interested in Nate for reasons beyond business, Elena could be forced out of his life.

Nate Hastings Is Adapting

Nate likely would have never been working for Newman Media if he was still a practicing surgeon. But the injury happened, and he adapted.

What Nate has not done is remain on an honest path. His intention of working with Victoria to help Newman Enterprises take control of CW and become Chief Executive Officer of what would have been that conglomerate’s division was dishonest.

It is not dishonest to accept the CEO spot at Newman Media. But working for the Newman family will produce new challenges, some of them moral, on Y&R.
