The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers document that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) feels disrespected. He thought his efforts to frame Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) were right.
Thomas’ point of view can be supported to a certain degree. His mother’s well-known feelings about Brooke and his sister’s persistent slamming of Lang’s character reinforced a narrative in Thomas’ mind. That, along with Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) twisted emotions, made Thomas believe he had to stop this perceived threat to his family using any means necessary.
Despite Thomas’ successful outcome, Steffy’s reveal of his methods caused their parents’ remarriage ceremony to short-circuit. Thomas, not Brooke, became the focus of scorn.
Just as Ridge felt betrayed by Brooke, Thomas feels wronged by his sister and parents. Atkinson’s character also lost the trust of his son and Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) adoptive mother, Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle).
Thomas knew his father was incapable of breaking from Brooke, and if Ridge did not, then turmoil would reign. Ridge’s emotional tie to Brooke also meant that Taylor would never realize a chance to reconstitute the Forrester family.
So, it is reasonable to believe that Thomas’ underdeveloped senses led him to fake the report under the guise of being Brooke. It was not right. But his thought process can be understood in context.
Ridge’s pattern, as a hot head, is to make clean breaks. That indicates he will follow through on the impulsive comment about talking to Eric Forrester (John McCook).
Thomas will have little to lose if Ridge convinces Eric to remove Thomas from Forrester Creations. That position is more than a creative outlet or a job. It validates his part of the family legacy.
Hope’s condescending comments were out of character. But she seems unwilling to keep him on as a Hope For the Future designer. The custody they appear to share of Douglas is also tenuous at best.
Thomas ran Emma Barber (Nia Sioux) off Mulholland Drive to her death. Her uncle, Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears), does not know that because Ridge refused to force Thomas to report what happened to the authorities.
Justin was hired by Ridge after Spears’ character betrayed Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), who is reverting to his Dollar Bill persona. Thomas could skillfully relay his involvement in Emma’s demise to Justin to stir trouble while also attempting to avoid legal punishment.
Alternatively, Thomas could offer his services to Bill as Justin offered them to Ridge on B&B.
