Hallmark spoilers, news, and updates tease that Lacey Chabet talked about the changes that have been happening in Hallmark. Despite the shift within Hallmark, the actress made it clear that she’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
Chabert is currently the reigning queen of Hallmark and she’s not planning to give up her throne anytime soon. In a recent interview with Vulture, the actress talked about the comments made by Candace Cameron Bure about the network.
The former Hallmark star said that the “change in leadership” made the network a “completely different network” than before. She cited it as the main reason why she decided to move to GAC Family.
Unlike Bure, Chabert has a different take on the changes that have happened in Hallmark.
“Any shift I’ve felt has been embracing our creative ideas,” Chabert shared.
“And it’s my responsibility to the audience who continue to tune into my movies that I give the best I have to offer. That’s always been my mission. I’ll never abandon what Hallmark means to me, which is that everything is centered around the heart. I don’t think there are any plans for that to change anytime soon,” she explained.
Chabert has been hailed as Hallmark’s empress. She’s been with the network since 2010 and she’s worked on 35 projects. Aside from taking on leading roles, she’s also executive producing and developing films. The actress considers Hallmark as her home and she’s grateful for being able to be more of who she is in the network than in any other places where she’s worked before.
Her first film with Hallmark was Elevator Girl, which was released 12 years ago. She recalled knowing about Hallmark cards but having no clue about their films. However, she did understand that the network’s primary goal was to spread love and goodness.
The actress has co-written a story for Hallmark before but she’s unsure if she can write a whole script. But she said that she’d love to direct at some point in her career. When asked whether Hallmark expects their actors to behave a certain way, Chabert said that she doesn’t feel any pressure to behave in a certain way. It’s because most of what Hallmark stands for is in line with her own personal values.
