The above happened so this storyline could advance, with the suspension of disbelief effect weighing heavy on the fans. This scenario also sets Ridge up to be exposed for not being as committed to Brooke as he has so often claimed to be.

Brooke Logan Makes The Call

Brooke will gain the ability to forgive Ridge when she learns what Thomas did. How she responds will establish where TPTB is entering an era where this legacy pairing is not together.

Readers have likely noticed that the name of the woman Ridge intended to remarry while this drama was playing out has not been written to this point. That is because Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) was Ridge’s second choice, a spot Brooke can legitimately put Ridge into if she breaks the dysfunction cycle on B&B.
