The writing staff likely is not providing the audience with a Groundhog Day tale. It would not be believable or interesting to see Brooke’s frame play out similarly to the Phoebe Forrester is Beth reveal.

Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) could plausibly become involved in this climax. Douglas dismissed his stepfather but could seek his guidance.

Thomas appears doomed to having Ridge learn that he is wrong about Brooke. It is possible that the timing of Douglas’ discovery stops Ridge and Taylor from remarrying.
