General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) has been battling her own self for months. Memories keep coming back to her that she used to have no recollection of. Did she suppress them on purpose as a means of ignoring a traumatic experience? Was she brainwashed into forgetting them? Why are they coming back now? Who knows the truth about how Liz is connected to Reiko Finn (Mele Ihara) in the past? These answers and more could unlock a history of Liz’s past that she may or may not be ready to absorb and tackle. Who has the answers though?
Things haven’t been quite right for Elizabeth ever since she found Peter August (Wes Ramsey) at the base of a General Hospital flight of stairs. Recognizing he appeared to be dead and quickly taking note that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) was somehow involved, Elizabeth and Finn hatched a plan to keep the whole thing a secret — from law enforcement, and everyone else. Was the pressure of keeping it hush-hush just too much for Liz’s psyche to handle? Perhaps, because she’s struggled with the memories of her own past coming to mind ever since.
Finn obviously wasn’t a part of Elizabeth’s past to either of their knowledge. Still, somehow, Elizabeth has met Reiko — Finn’s late wife. Having no recollection of how that happened, knowing Reiko was injured in a similar fashion that Peter was has triggered these memories to come back to the surface for Liz. She’s going to go looking for answers from the only person she believes could possibly tell her more — her father, Jeff Webber (Richard Dean Anderson).
What his father will reveal to her will send shockwaves through Liz that could decimate her relationship with Finn. After all, they’ve been through in recent months, it’s unclear whether Finn and Liz can withstand the turbulence of another setback, especially hearing a revelation that would tie Finn back to his late wife. Could Reiko still be alive, and Jeff has known about her all this time? Or perhaps Reiko had a child Finn didn’t know about? We’re about to discover more about Finn’s past than he ever knew.
Would a surprised child — or the return of Reiko herself — bring Finn to his knees? What would happen to his feelings for Elizabeth if he came to know she was responsible for harm that came to Reiko or his child? If Elizabeth remains innocent in all of this, will he be able to suppress his uprising feelings for Reiko to stay with Liz? Stay tuned right here for more GH news, updates, and spoilers.
