There was once a time when Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) were the closest of friends and cousins but those days ended early in 2021 when Nate slept with Devon’s girlfriend Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy).

After a guilty Elena confessed what happened, Devon lost his temper, punched Nate, ruined his surgery hand, and eventually, Elena and Nate ended up together. As for Devon, he ended up with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and became a bio dad to Abby Newman Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) son.

However, Nate and Devon tried to make things right between them and Devon thought hiring Nate as the COO of Chancellor-Winters despite him having absolutely no corporate experience would be a good idea.

The Young And The Restless Updates – A Good Idea Was A VERY Bad Idea

Well, ever since the Chancellor-Winters launch party, there has been high tension between Nate and Devon and the board meeting with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) made things even worse. After Nate storms out, Devon follows him and gives Nate the floor. He tells him to let it all out about what’s been bothering him and Nate does.

Nate can’t believe that Devon has shot down almost every one of his idea, showing he has no faith in him. But Devon points out that Nate’s first move n announcing 50 new podcasts at the launch party wasn’t working out, so Nate didn’t do very well, to begin with, and Devon doesn’t see things getting much better.

This conversation ends up becoming the final straw for Nate, especially after Devon accuses him of being immature. Nate just can’t take it anymore and despite Elena trying to talk him out of quitting, that is exactly what Nate does. What will happen to him now?
