It’s ok that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) don’t like one another. They have their reasons and getting along with your stepmother is not a prerequisite for being a good parent.

When Brooke tries to meddle in Thomas’ life and his relationship with his son, Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri), Thomas gives as good as Brooke does, but sadly, Brooke can’t take it as and decides that Thomas is a danger to Douglas just because he loses his temper with her.

Yes, adults lose their tempers with one another. She has seen that happen with the men in her life countless times. Nobody is saying it’s right, but is it a reason to keep a father away from his child?

Well, someone thinks it is — or at least someone thinks that Thomas is a big problem — and they call Child Protective Services.

When a CPS agent shows up at the Forrester door to check on Douglas, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) can’t help but think that Brooke is the one who did it. After all, she really, really does not like Thomas.

“Ridge calls Brooke. He calls her and says, ‘Is there anything you want to say about this?’ And she says no,” Thorsten Kaye said in the October 3, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “You always want to believe the ones you love and he wants to believe the ones you love, and he wants to believe her so when she says no, he takes it.

But was it Brooke? She might seem like the obvious one to do something like this, but on a soap obvious isn’t always the answer. However, if it wasn’t Brooke, who would feel the need to go this far and involve CPS when Douglas has not been hurt at all and in fact seems to be thriving with his biological family?
