The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) does not plan to stop pursuing Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). He remains oblivious to Imani’s intentions, which increasingly bothers Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy).

Imani is playing a high-level game. She believes that Elena is not good enough for Nate and that he can do better, meaning her.

It is also worth considering if Imani will not stop at Nate or could break from him after they inevitably get together. If so, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) would seem to be her next logical target.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Naya Benedict’s Tenuous Predicament

It appears as though TPTB are in the process of writing Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) out of the show. That would be a shame as this part of Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) backstory has plenty of plot that can be indefinitely explored.

Naya’s health issues have been referenced in dialogue sporadically. Now, after Amanda’s most recent trip to see her in Virginia, Naya is in a coma.

Imani has not been overly involved in her mother’s situation but did use that topic to seek advice from Nate. Her coldness furthers a self-centered personality type that Amanda initially encountered when they first met.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Imani Benedict Believes In Herself

Imani was used to being an only child. She and her parents had a plush life that was built on Sutton Ames’ (Jack Landron) career in politics.

Rose’s character seemed to turn a maturity corner when she backed Amanda’s push to prosecute Sutton. His resulting imprisonment did not produce surface tension between Amanda and her sister.

However, it is fair to wonder if Imani harbors resentment for Amanda because of the family fallout that happened. In any event, she is stirring trouble with Nate against Amanda’s advice to stay away from him.

Amanda Sinclair Is Not Immune

Amanda and Devon have developed a loving relationship. But they are not married.

Nate and Elena are not married either. That lack of a deeply personal and legal bond leaves Nate open in Imani’s mind. She sees herself as right for him, with Elena being prime for defeat.

It is not a stretch to think Imani eventually makes a play for Devon. Whether he responds depends on where Devon and Amanda are at that point in a projected storyline.
