Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and updates tease that alum Jen Lilley (Theresa Donovan) has played many roles. But as she often reveals on social media, her role of mom ranks as her favorite! And Jen just showed why with a precious photo of her 3-month-old daughter.
Learn what Lilley shared on Instagram. And discover more about the Days Of Our Lives alum’s background. Plus: Do you know why she left the soap opera? Find out the answer below!
Days Of Our Lives alum Jen Lilley often posts pics of her family. But the soap opera alum’s newest photo just might win for the cutest. And Jen kept the caption to her Instagram post.
“3 months of smiles!” wrote Lilley. As the photo shows, Jen’s baby girl has become a giggling, happy infant at 3 months old. And her
famous mother dressed her tiny daughter in a cute outfit. From the hair band to the puffy sleeves on that romper, Lilley’s daughter won hearts.
And fans responded accordingly. For instance, Jen’s friend Lacey Chabert gushed, “She’s so adorable.” Although the Days Of Our Lives alum didn’t share it in her caption, Jen chose the name Jacqueline “Jackie” Grace for a very special reason for her daughter.
Talking with People Jen explained why she felt Jackie Grace seemed the perfect name for her newborn baby. Lilley, 37, and her husband Jason Wayne agreed on the name because of their religious beliefs. “Jackie means ‘God will protect her,’ Grace means ‘God will empower her,’ “ shared Jen.
In addition to baby Jackie Grace, the Days Of Our Lives alum and her husband have filled up their house with children. The couple adopted Kayden, 5, and Jeffrey, 3, from foster care in 2019 and 2020. And their daughter Julie is almost 3.
Because of her love for her family, Jen made the difficult decision to leave Days Of Our Lives. At the time, Lilley described the decision as painful. And she shared that portraying Theresa Donovan on Days Of Our Lives provided her with her career highlight. But Jen wanted to spend more time as a foster parent.
Recognizing that fostering children requires consistency and attention, Lilley faced a hard choice. “It was either I was going to do a good job on [Days Of Our Lives] and maybe not give these children the love that they deserve,” she reflected. “Or I was going to be a fantastic foster mom, and just flounder in my acting.” As a result, Jen made the decision to leave Days Of Our Lives. And since then, she has sought to further awareness of foster care.
