The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) founded Newman Enterprises and built it into a worldwide conglomerate, or so viewers have been told. Now, he decided to allow Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to remain in charge of the family business.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has not behaved outlandishly in a while. He has tried to support his oldest sister since her wedding in Tuscany, Italy. Victor appreciated that but feels he is not ready to replace Victoria.

The Moustache likely believes that Victoria may always have it over Adam, which Grossman’s character recognizes. What he refuses to admit is that his father is likely right.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman’s Checkered Past

Adam behaved badly in the past, as he told Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Her reveal about faking a terminal illness because she was head over heels into Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) on sister show, The Bold and the Beautiful, was affirming.

Grossman’s character told Sally that he understood her actions, which impressed her. She was hesitant to tell Adam about this part of her past because others were disgusted by it.

Sally’s presence in Adam’s life is a glaring sign of his clouded view of reality. At least, that is what Victor believes.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Victoria Newman In Control Despite Setbacks

Victoria is a survivor. She comes through horrible scenarios but still keeps her soapy nose to the grindstone, just like her father.

Adam is thrown by otherwise trivial matters. That has often been the case through the years. He does not project the demeanor of a leader who could handle Newman Media on his own, which is why Victor was by his side throughout the start of that new venture.

So, Victoria will remain Newman Enterprises Chief Executive Officer, and Adam can stay in the spot that Victor allows him to hold.

Victor Newman Rejects Petulance

Adam will huff and puff about the reversion to the status quo. But Victoria is his father’s pick to head the company, no matter Adam’s feelings.

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is Victoria’s pick to be co-CEO. Nikki also demonstrates good business acumen in not allowing the Genoa City, Wisconsin, winds to ruffle her emotions every other day.

Victor appreciated Adam’s efforts within what is now a media division of the main business. But Adam’s petulance still exists. That, among other marks, prevents him from being CEO or even co-CEO worthy.
