Her husband, Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) was shot in the head while on police duty right afterward, leaving Eli in a coma for several weeks. During the time Eli was unconscious, Lani spent as much time as she could with Eli while also caring for their twins. She was becoming more exhausted with each day but she pressed on. Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) and TR Coates (William Christian), Lani’s biological parents, took turns babysitting the twins, as did Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Julie Williams (Susan Seathford Hayes). But even with so much support, Lani was still about to break down!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Eli Grant Woke Up And Shocked Lani Price With His Words!

Eli had quite the story to tell about the shooting. Lani and the rest of the Salem PD believed that Eli stumbled upon a drug deal and the shooter was one of the local dealers in Salem. But in truth; it was TR who shot him. Eli had just found out that the Salem newcomer hadn’t changed as much as he professed. Right before that Eli discovered that TR was still using heroin and taking his anger out on women. While confronting him about that, Eli found the drugs TR has just purchased. That’s when they struggled for the gun and TR managed to gain control of the weapon.

Days Of Our Lives Updates – Lani Price Was Just Getting To Know Her Biological Father!

Lani has only known TR for a few months but she was open to getting to know him. She was livid as she realized that TR was with Paulina.

Lani rushed to Paulina’s penthouse and witnessed Abe lying in a pool of blood and TR ready to punch Paulina. Without hesitating, Lani cursed at TR and then fired the gun. Shortly after, TR died. Paulina took control of the situation and when the paramedics arrived, she announced that she shot TR. Lani tried to stop Paulina from confessing to Lani’s crime, but Paulina told her to be quiet! Abe was seemingly unconscious at the time, but will likely remember hearing Paulina ask Lani what she had done!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Abe Carver Will Figure Out Paulina Price’s lie!

Abe will realize that Paulina is simply trying to protect Lani. She didn’t get to raise Lani herself but she could make sure Lani and her family would be ok. Abe will understand Paulina’s motivation but will insist Paulina come clean. Abe will be sure that Lani wouldn’t go to prison given the circumstances but Paulina won’t hear of it. She will beg Abe to let her do this for Lani, leaving Abe to make one of the most difficult decisions of his life!
