Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Dr. Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) wasn’t planning a brand-new endeavor at this point in her life. But things can change in the blink of an eye, especially in Salem. Kayla had been Chief of Staff at University Hospital for many years now. But when Kayla refused to fire Dr. Marlena Evans (Diedre Hall) in the aftermath of Marlena’s possession, the board of directors quickly replaced her with someone who would. And Dr. Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) was all too eager to take Kayla’s job.

Kayla loves being a doctor and is nowhere near ready to retire. But if she can’t practice at University Hospital, Kayla may just create her own space to treat patients. She may even settle on the idea of building a brand-new clinic. But an endeavor like that may be expensive and Kayla may need the help of investors who share her vision.

No longer encumbered by the Hospital’s policies and procedures, once the clinic becomes a reality, Kayla can focus much more time helping patients. Even though this isn’t what Kayla would have chosen for herself, it may turn out to be a huge help to Salem residents. Kayla didn’t compromise herself by firing Marlena and if she creates this new clinic, she may just change the future of medicine in Salem.

Dr. Kayla Johnson Will Ask Dr. Tripp Dalton To Join Her!

But there is no way Kayla could run a clinic on her own. So she will hope that her stepson, Dr. Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) will join her. Tripp will happily join Kayla and will certainly be honored that she even asked him. It wasn’t all that long ago that Tripp tried to ruin Kayla’s career. It was all a huge misunderstanding and slowly Kayla forgave Tripp! Kayla and Tripp will likely work well together and health care in Salem will benefit from it!
