The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will recruit one more spy into his arsenal to check out Ashland Locke (Robert Newman); his son Adam Newman, (Mark Grossman) in an upcoming episode of The Young and The Restless!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – The More Victor Newman Finds Out About Ashland Locke, The Less He Trusts Him!

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Victor has become more and more suspicious of his son-in-law in recent episodes of The Young and The Restless: especially of his “Peruvian Miracle Cure” for his cancer! Victor had sent Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) down to Peru to check out the clinic and try to find out about Locke’s connection to it after finding out he’d been using it to funnel money through as a tax shelter through a shell company. Michael had found out more about the financials, and had called Victor to tell him the cash flow from Locke’s shell company doubled just before his treatment; something just doesn’t add up for Victor. At a Valentine’s Day lunch shared by Victor, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Locke, and Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) Victor had honed in on Ashland to the point of the notice of both Victoria and Nikki. When questioned by Victoria, Ashland gave her the same story he previously gave Victor, but she was shocked that he hasn’t told her this before, after telling her Victor had asked about the experimental treatment!

The Young And The Restless Updates – Ashland Locke And Victoria Newman-Locke Argue Over Ashland Locke’s Secrecy

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Ashland had a pat answer for Victor when he questioned him about the clinic in Peru; he had known about it from a friend who had successful cancer treatments there. Viewers of The Young and The Restless recall he told Victor he had invested in it through a shell corporation to skirt possible legal ramifications, and didn’t seem too worried about it. Now Ashland tells Victoria that her father had asked questions, and he tells Victoria the same story he told Victor, and she was upset over his not being forthcoming about it previously. He claimed he was trying to guard and protect her from any untoward legal ramifications, not being sure if the treatment would work on him or not, and was also trying to protect the company. Victoria doesn’t like these kinds of secrets, but they finally get things talked out.

Victor Newman Tasks Adam Newman With Gathering More Intel On Ashland Locke

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will see Victor give Adam an important task; he wants him to gather more intel on Locke, hopefully without Locke suspecting anything, and gives Adam the scoop. Victor cautions Adam that he doesn’t want Victoria to know about any of this investigation, and one reason is that he wants to be sure of his information and have concrete proof to present.

Adam notes that since he came over to the new company, Ashland has treated him differently than previously – they had a fraught conversation recently in which Ashland appeared to be asserting power over him. Adam tells Victor that it is almost like he was making Ashland nervous – or at least that’s what he picked up on – Victor agrees that is the sign of someone having something to hide. Viewers of The Young and The Restless will see Adam agree to the task of playing interoffice spy and seeing what he can find out, even if it means hacking Locke’s computer!
