The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Adam has tried to do the right thing and be loyal to his father. Adam even helped prevent Victoria Newman-Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) wedding from being ruined. So, Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) next move drives a wedge and could send Adam back to his old ways.

Adam Newman’s Redemption

Y&R spoilers reveal that after a lot of devious and deceptive deeds, Adam was redeemed. Even though he has tried to prove that he’s a changed man, not everyone believes it. Victoria is one person who has never bought into Adam’s redemption. Adam even tried to do the right thing by preventing Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) from ruining Victoria and Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) wedding.

Y&R Spoilers: Newman Media Offer

Victor didn’t tell Adam about Victoria’s offer to buy Newman Media. Adam confronted Victor and demanded to know if there was something he needed to tell him. At that time, Victor admitted that Victoria offered to buy the company. However, Victor didn’t confess that he was seriously considering it.

He made it seem that it shouldn’t be a concern for Adam and everything was just fine. The only thing was Victor did say he was going to take a more active role at Newman Media. Victor also didn’t inform Adam of Victoria’s massive lie about Billy’s scheme.

Blindsided by Victoria Newman-Locke

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Victor doesn’t bother giving Adam a heads up about the deal. Victoria struts into the office and lets Adam know that she is his new boss. Adam is completely blindsided and he’s not happy.

In fact, during the week of January 24, Adam confronts Victor about the situation. That is when Victor gives Adam an ultimatum. He either works under Victoria or he can leave Newman Media.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Reverts Back to Old Ways

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, actor Mark Grossman suggested that the deal will cause a new wedge between Victor and Adam. The actor also said that it could throw Adam’s redemption right out the window.

“But right now, Adam is feeling pretty dispensable and that he can be easily tossed aside by Victor. This is something that could interrupt Adam’s path to redemption, making him lash out and fall back into old tendencies.”
