The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Ashland Locke Is Under Enormous Stress

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Ashland is under an enormous amount of stress. The blackmailer he’s been paying for over thirty years, Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones) had been harassing him, having heard of his cancer diagnosis. He wanted to be paid three million dollars and Ashland couldn’t come up with it quickly enough. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) stepped in and paid him off, but viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Ashland warned him Gaines wouldn’t stop at that. Victor responded he was keeping an eye on Gaines, but that has made Ashland even more nervous – now he has to be afraid of Victor finding out his secrets! The reason for the blackmail was Gaines was supposed to have what Ashland achieved – probably in some not so above board ways! Perhaps Gaines is Camilla Rhodes’ (uncast) heir.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Ashland Locke Is Afraid Of His Secrets Being Exposed

Viewers of The Young and The Restless know that Ashland’s secrets may be criminal ones – Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) had some very valid questions about Locke hiding his past and no records have been available.

Viewers of The Young and The Restless know that they thought that perhaps there was a real Ashland Locke whose identity was stolen by this Ashland Locke as a young man because there was no way a broke teenager bought two television news stations! Nick had gone to Toms River New Jersey to check out their theory and hadn’t liked what he found! In addition, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is continuing his search for dirt and not giving up. Locke didn’t even know about Nick and Phyllis’ investigation but knowing that his past is being looked into and Gaines had been “paid off” by Victor Newman and he already knew who Gaines was has made Locke very nervous!

Nate Hastings Notices Ashland Locke’s Stress

Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall that Nate is very aware of Ashland’s health conditions – not only is he dealing with lung cancer which he is under chemotherapy for, but he had a heart attack. Viewers of The Young and The Restless know that when Ashland went to his doctors to get his heart problems dealt with his cancer was discovered – or at least that’s what he told people. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) had convinced him to seek treatment for cancer and that’s how he and Nate got acquainted. Nate will notice Ashland is showing signs of being under extreme stress, and Nate will approach him to provide some unsolicited advice about taking it a little easier! Ashland won’t exactly resent it but he won’t want to delay his wedding, which may be a stressor that Nate refers to! Nate may advise him to get more medical tests before going to Italy for his wedding to Victoria, and Ashland won’t want to take the time!
