Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) intervened, and now Gaines has left Genoa City. Victor believes he has shut down the efforts of his former son-in-law but spoilers say Billy Boy will continue investigating.

Victor will meet with Locke at The Grand Phoenix but take the meeting to the ranch to keep Billy from listening in. Once Ashland arrives on the Newman property, Victor will make a shocking announcement. Spoilers say he admits knowing that Ashland had been paying Jesse $300,000 annually for decades. Victor gave Gaines the choice to either go to prison for blackmailing Ashland or accept his lucrative financial offer.
