Lani has always believed that her mother was Tamara Price (Marilyn McCoo). Tamara told Lani that her father was Abe Carver (James Reynolds). But it was all a lie. Paullina is actually Lani’s real mom and she gave her baby to Tamara to raise. That also means that Abe isn’t really her father. So needless to say, everything that Lani has believed about herself was a lie.

To make matters even worse, Lani has always seen Chanel Dupris (Raven Bowens) as her cousin when in reality she is Lani’s half-sister. That doesn’t even take into account how Abe is going to feel.
