Just when things were going great for her, she finds out that she has miscarried her child. And naturally, she feels as though she needs to blame Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller) for it all. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Emily O’Brien, who plays Gwen on the hit NBC soap, makes it no secret that her character is absolutely devastated. That’s because this pregnancy gave Gwen the hope that she could start things all over again and perhaps gain a new shift and perspective on things. And that’s something that she really needs right now.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say that when Gwen heads to the DiMera mansion to find Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), she finds Abigail instead. The two end up getting in a fight, which leads to tragedy.

Emily previews, “They have this argument and Gwen is just trying to get away and she can’t even get a word in, and Abigail just starts physically grabbing Gwen’s wrists and when she lets go, Gwen slips and falls.”

That’s when both Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) and Chad find Gwen at the bottom of the stairs and rush her to the hospital. When Gwen is awake, she tells Chad the devastating news: she miscarried their baby. To her surprise, Chad is actually very supportive.

Days Of Our Lives Updates – What’s Next For Gwen?

Emily adds, “When he hears that she loses the child, I think the way Billy played it was beautiful. He definitely shows grief, but there is also this wonderful moment like, ‘What would have happened if we were actually to have this child together?’ He supports Gwen and he even comes to her defense and believes her when she says that Abigail pushed her down the stairs.”
