The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that even though these two know that they can’t live without each other, they also can’t make up their minds on whether or not they want to be with each other, too. That’s because Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) still has Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) in the back of her mind, which is making any sort of reunion with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) super difficult. The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nate’s Not Sure About His Future With Elena

According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, when Nate runs into Elena at Crimson Lights, it’s obvious that there’s still tension between the former lovers, which prompts Nate to make a very special request.

Speaking to the publication in a new interview, Sean Dominic, who plays Nate Hastings in the hit CBS soap, puts it this way, “Before everything went down, they were pretty solid. They had this love and joy of being doctors, plus they were really good friends on top of that. Because they still work closely together, he’s asking, ‘Can I get a buddy back?’”

But is that something Elena is willing to do? She’s not sure if they can return to a platonic relationship, given everything that has happened to them. Sean adds that before, it was Elena who was pushing but he was the one who was hesitating. But now that Nate is pushing for things to be a little deeper, things have turned around and it’s Elena who is hesitating.

Now, whether or not Elena will give Nate a second change remains to be seen. He knows that he has the love for her, but of course, Elena still has a lot of love left in her for Devon, despite all that has happened.
