Bridgerton Spoilers: Season 2 Welcomes New Cast Member, Charithra Chandran

Bridgerton spoilers and updates tease that the Netflix series is about to thrill fans with an intrigue-packed season two. But first, there is news concerning the cast members’ assemblage. The producers of the series are introducing two new members to the cast, one of them is the actress Charithra Chandran.

Bridgerton Spoilers – A Summary Of Season Two

Charithra will be one of the newest additions to the cast members and has been designated to play the role of Kate’s younger sister, Edwina. Charithra who is a graduate of the prestigious Oxford University is expected to feature in the second season of the IMDb TV series, Alex Rider, after this project.

The Bridgerton series is based on the romantic novels by Julia Quinn, with season two centered around the romantic life of the eldest of the Bridgerton siblings, Lord Anthony. In the episodes, he searches for a suitable lady to get married to without much hassle. But things do not go as easily as he expects.

Lord Anthony, a role played by Jonathan Bailey, is reluctant to get married, but eventually settles on marrying Edwina, of the Sharma family. Things seem easy at first for Anthony, but the moment Edwina’s elder sister, Kate, gets wind of their romance, she begins to constantly meddle in their affairs. The role of Kate is played by the actress Ashley Simone. Kate disapproves of Anthony as an ideal husband for her younger sister and does everything in her power to stop the relationship from blossoming into marriage. On the other hand, Anthony does his best possible to convince Kate that he loves Edwina to bits. However, amid their wrangling, they begin to develop romantic feelings for each other.

The second season of the Netflix series is based on the second novel in the Bridgerton novels by Quinn, The Viscount Who Loved Me.

Rupert Young Joins The Cast

Another person to become a new cast member of the series is actor Rupert Young, who was part of the BBC series, Merlin. He will be joining the Netflix series that is set in the early 1800s when London is imagined as a society that is made up of a population from different races. Rupert will play the character Jack, a member of a noble family like the Bridgertons. Jack is not a character in the Quinn novels, as he was created by the producers of the series.

Bridgerton Updates – Season Two To Surpass Season One?

The executive producer of the series, Chris Van Duser revealed that they decided to add to the cast to make the series more engaging as they look forward to how Lord Anthony goes about his marriage situation. Other executive producers of the Bridgerton series include Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers.

Bridgerton was renewed for another season after it broke a lot of Netflix records, barely four weeks into its first season. The first season of the series was viewed by over 82 million people, making it the biggest Netflix series to date.
