This time around, he’s managed to put his children Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) against each other as the two of them gear up for another battle. The latest edition of Soap Opera Digest says that while at Newman Enterprises, Victoria will fill in her mother Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) about how Victor advised her to buy a media company owned by Ashland Locke. And while Victoria passed up on the opportunity, she now finds out that Victor and Adam have teamed up to buy the company.

This has prompted Victoria to wonder what is really going on. That’s when she decides to make a play for the company but also shares her concerns that Victor is once again trying to put her against Adam in yet another corporate showdown.

Everyone involved has certainly been down this road before. The Young and the Restless executive producer and head writer Josh Griffith puts it this way in a new interview with the publication, “It’s a win-win situation for Victor is either Victoria or Adam acquires Cyaxares. Victor thinks a little healthy competition never hurt anyone, so he plays on the tension between Victoria and Adam. He knows they will both be motivated to succeed and outsmart each other.”
