In recent episodes of the show, Kody jas said he doesn’t feel any value in his marriage to Meri, which she refuted but respected his honesty. Things have taken a turn for the worse as they do not see each other frequently. In short, their marriage seems headed for the rocks.

The global coronavirus epidemic caused the show to go through several changes, most especially the months of isolation. Each of Kody’s wives has had to stay put in their homes, miles apart. Well, this has taken its toll on the relationship between Kody and his wives, particularly that of Kody and Meri.

In the episode of March 21st, Kody made statements that implied that he was not feeling any intimate connection with Meri. He said he only gets to see Meri when there is a family get-together for the holidays or birthday celebration of a member of the Brown family. Apart from that, 52-year-old Kody says he gets to have a moment together with his 50-year-old wife once in a long while. He went further on to reveal that the pair had stopped dating, and he does not bother calling to ask her out on dates.

On the part of Meri, she says the COVID-19 pandemic has caused the relationship with her husband to further deteriorate. The deterioration has become more visible on the show because they hardly get to see each other due to movement restrictions.

In a trailer to promote the new season, Meri confessed that she felt the need for a hug at this difficult time faced by the world. She further went on to say that the social distance protocols have made her lonely, as her husband divided his time more often between his other three wives.

Sister Wives Updates – A Look At Married Life Between The Couple

Kody and Meri have been married for over two decades before they got a divorce in September of 2014. The divorce was done so that Kody could be legally free to marry his fourth wife, Robyn. With the divorce, he was also legally allowed to adopt the children of Robyn. Kody is also spiritually wedded to his other two wives, Janelle Brown, and Christine Brown. Meri on the other can’t, is feeling like an outcast at the moment.

In a February episode of Sisters Wives, Kody disclosed that his marriage to Meri was not in a good state. He admits that he finds it hard to end the marriage, as he could not do so as a practicing polygamist. He said that this principle did not apply to his other three wives, as they were free to end their marriage to him at any time.
