General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease that Nicolas Bechtel, who plays Spencer Cassadine on the ABC sudser, has shared some fantastic news with his fans.

We all know that time flies but it’s still hard to believe that the little kid who fans saw grow up before their eyes is now in high school! It’s true, and not only is Nicolas in high school, but he’s also officially a Big Man on Campus.

He’s just tweeted the good news: “Nicolas Bechtel, Sophomore Class President #classof2024.”

The fans went wild with congratulations and well wishes.

One wrote, “Wow Congrats. Woohoo. Actually I like Spencer coming back and OMG to see Cameron’s reaction and Jocelyn and now add in Trina and bring back Emma. I love it.”

Another joked, “So townie lol. Sure you didn’t fix the election? (I kid) #GH #GH57 That’s AWESOME man. CONGRATS.”

Other fans couldn’t help but reminisce about the days we saw more of Spencer in Port Charles with one fan tweeting that they wished his presidency was at Port Charles High School.

Another curious fan asked Nicolas, “What are you going to study?”

General Hospital Updates – What Happens Next In Port Charles?

It would be fantastic to see more of Nicolas onscreen as Spencer, but in the meantime, it’s terrific to know that he’s happy and thriving in school.

Many fans thought that the recent double wedding would have been a great time for several characters to come back, including Emma Scorpio Drake (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) which would have been the perfect opportunity for her friend Spencer to accompany her.

Emma’s grandma Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was set to marry Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) but that was a grand disaster, so maybe it’s better the kids didn’t travel all that way just to be disappointed.

The other half of the double wedding was just as much–actually even more–of a disaster. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) were also set to marry but the bombshells in his background exploded like dynamite, effectively ripping their relationship to shreds.

What happens next in Port Chuck? Summer is just around the corner so maybe there’s a chance that Spencer will return to town and spend some time with his dad Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and grandma Laura Collins (Genie Francis). He could also get acquainted with his new-found relative Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober)!
