Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Precious opens up about how she landed her role as Chanel, a person who has a very special connection to some very important people in Salem. The actress says that despite all of the craziness with Covid-19 and the entertainment industry’s shut down because of the extended lockdowns in Hollywood, she was absolutely thrilled when she first heard that she landed the role.

Precious recalls, “I put up a self-tape audition and I had so much fun doing it because I really just loved the scene and I felt very free. It was one of the first opportunities that I got to get dressed up so I went all out for my tape! I put on a sparkly dress and it gave me an excuse to put on some makeup and feel cute.”

With that said, Precious did also admit that she had some nervous butterflies on the first day of filming. But at the same time, she felt very grateful to be given a job, seeing how so many other actors and actresses have been out of work because of the ongoing pandemic that has been the coronavirus. She said, “I was so nervous but so excited, and honestly, I was so happy to be out of the house! I was just like, ‘Thank you. I’m out of the house with a purpose.”
