Fans were excited when Asha and Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) began a romance. However, Nina ends the relationship, which sends the teen spiraling. Heartbreak will lead to Asha getting drugs from Simon Barlow (Alex Bain).

Corrie spoilers reveal that Asha has gone through several troubling storylines. She got involved in illegal skin bleaching and stole a credit card to buy a skin-lightening product on the Internet. After Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) got his daughter help, there was another ordeal.

We saw Asha give Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) a striptease, which ended up being shared with her schoolmates. Soon, it reached other schools, the entire neighborhood, and even was uploaded to an adult website. Dev nearly lost everything trying to pay for a private school and a reputation management company to do damage control. There was also bullying and then Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) noticed Corey was like a mini-Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew).

Romance With Nina Lucas

After breaking up with Corey, Asha and Nina began dating. Even though Nina liked the teenager a lot, she noticed troubling signs. Asha instantly declared her love and devotion to Nina. This sent off alarm bells with Nina, but she continued cautiously. Then, Asha expected Nina to spend every spare minute with her. She explained gently that it’s healthy for couples to separate, individual interests. Based on what Inside Soap magazine wrote, it sounds like Asha wanted to have sex right away, which led to Nina slamming on the brakes and ending the relationship.

Coronation Street Updates – Heartbreak And Obsession

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that there were some signs that Asha could easily develop an obsession. She also seems to take rejection very personally and intensely. When Nina ends the romance, Asha completely spirals. Some viewers expected Asha to threaten suicide. However, she ends up taking another route to cope with her broken heart, but it’s just as dangerous.

Asha reacts to heartbreak in a self-destructive way and buys drugs from Simon. With the drugs in her hand, Asha heads off to get high with Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) and Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby). However, Kelly ends up collapsing and has to be rushed to the hospital. Simon learns about Kelly’s drug collapse and feels guilty. Asha also is consumed with guilt, especially when Dev gets the wrong idea. He blames the other girls for getting Asha involved in drugs when it was actually the other way around. Then, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) decides the drug dealing must stop and takes matters into her own hands.
