Bridgerton Spoilers: Star Cast As Lead In ITV Comedy-Drama

Netflix Bridgerton spoilers and updates tease that there is exciting news to report for one of the stars of Netflix’s breakout hit.

ITV is casting for its show The Larkins, which is a new adaptation of The Darling Buds of May, and one of its stars has a high-profile role on Bridgerton.

The six-part comedy-drama series has been adapted from H E Bates’ novel by The Durrell’s Simon Nye, and Bradley Walsh is one of the executive producers. There is not yet a release date.

Bridgerton is still a young show having debuted on Christmas day last year. At the time it would have been hard to predict how the audience fell in love with the period drama, but since then it has become a bonafide hit.

Based on their greater visibility on the Netflix series, the stars of the show find themselves in big demand and many have been cast in exciting new projects.

Sabrina Bartlett Played Siena Rossa

One of those actors, Sabrina Bartlett played Siena Rossa in the historical drama. She has also appeared in Victoria, Poldark, Doctor Who, and Game of Thrones. The fantastic news is that she has been cast as Mariette Larkin, one of the six children of the Larkin family that is led by Bradley Walsh and Joanna Scanlan’s Pop and Ma.

And Tok Stephen has been cast as Cedric ‘Charley’ Charlton. That actor has been seen in Grantchester and Holby City as well.

The character of Charley is an accountant from the city. He comes to the town of Kent in the 1950s to investigate the family’s tax affairs. As he sticks around he discovers that the big city becomes less alluring to him than the country and Mariette!

Both Sabrina and Tok have been quoted in a press release about their new show. The actors explained that they were enthused to join the show and were looking forward to their roles.

Sabrina also said that she hopes that the project will give weary audiences a sense of “escapism” and provide “heart-warming” stories to viewers.

Sabrina said, “I am really REALLY excited to be taking on the role of Mariette Larkin in this new adaption of H E Bates novels. I can’t wait to bring these heartwarming stories to life alongside such a wonderful team. It’s just the perfect dose of escapism we all need right now.”

Tok had this to say: “I am thrilled to be cast as Charley in such a beloved and wonderful show. I can’t wait to work alongside Joanna, Bradley, and Sabrina. I’m incredibly excited. I hope we can impress fans of the original novels with our version.”
