Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is trying to get back to normal life, but is relying on Simon Barlow (Alex Bain). The teen is getting mixed up with a bad guy to get money to pay the bills. Leanne will see a psychic next week. She is convinced her dead son is sending her messages. Will the psychic take advantage of Leanne’s desperation?

Leaning On Simon Barlow

Corrie spoilers reveal that Simon was the person who found Leanne hiding in Nick Tilsley’s (Ben Price) flat when she claimed to be spending the holidays in France. He is also the same one who found her after the overdose and kept her hiding out a secret. Leanne will continue leaning on the teenage boy even more.

She quits her job and the utilities will be shut off unless she finds a way to pay them. Simon ends up with a new “friend” who gives him money and a bike to replace the one that was stolen. Simon thinks that his buddy is a Godsend. Then, Simon is going to learn that everything comes at a price.

According to Inside Soap magazine, Leanne’s condition is getting really hard for Simon to take. He’s grieving too and he’s just a kid, but he’s having to suck it all down to take care of Leanne and pay the bills. He tries to encourage her to get out and she tries, but she just doesn’t have the will to do anything. Things change when Leanne sees a feather, convinced that it’s Oliver Battersby (Jeremiah and Emmanuel Cheetham) sending her a message.

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Leanne makes an appointment with a psychic. After finding the feather, she wants to know more. A source for the publication teased, “Leanne’s overjoyed once she has her appointment with Crystal Moon. The psychic tells Leanne that she’s right, the feather she found is a symbol of love from Oliver. And Leanne’s completely chuffed — it’s a huge comfort believing Oliver is choosing to contact her.”

Coronation Street Spoilers: Taking Advantage?

The psychic gives Leanne peace by letting her know that Oliver’s okay. It also gives her hope because if Oliver is “contacting” her, then it’s not like he’s really gone. But if you give Leanne an inch, she’s going to go a mile. She will continue wanting more “messages” and “contact.” However, psychics cost money and so that will have Simon relying more on his criminal friend.

Then there is the question about the psychic’s intentions. Is she just trying to give a grieving mother comfort? Or is this her “hook” so she can get Leanne to shell out more money when Oliver has something “important” to say? We will have to keep watching the ITV soap to find out.
