The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) recognizes the danger that her granddaughter is in. She wants Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) to recognize why using alcohol is bad and to gain a better understanding of what friendship actually is.

Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) asked Nikki to help Faith. As that process unfolds there will initially be a difference of opinion about Jordan (no last name known for this character who is played by Madison Thompson), with Nikki believing that she’s a threat and Sharon not willing to go there yet.

Lind has been seen sporadically in recent years. The longtime cast member has been part of the show since 2011.

Fans of daytime, or acting in general, have witnessed the impressive rise of this actor. She clearly ranks with the best young performers on the show in its history, which includes another current cast member, Camryn Grimes (Cassie Newman and now, Mariah Copeland). Of course, Grimes joined the cast in the 1990’s, when she was a child.

Faith’s return to Genoa City, Wisconsin, was prompted by Sharon’s cancer battle. Y&R’s decision to have Lind’s character remain in town led to a branch storyline, with Faith’s teenage restlessness now taking center stage.

Nikki’s alcoholism has generated a number of storylines through the decades. Some of this great actor’s best work includes the episodes where she was dealing with the ravages of this serious issue. Thomas Scott’s top scenes also include the moments when she beat back the bottle and helped others, including Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) to do so.

As Sharon and Nikki were discussing, Faith may have inherited the genetic trait that is connected to alcoholism. So, it makes sense that Nikki would become directly involved in attempting to prevent this known dark road from being explored too deeply.

Nothing terrible has happened yet. But Faith is getting closer to losing her way and not being quickly rescued.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sharon Rosales Balancing Maternal Instincts

Sharon is a terrific mother. With Faith advancing beyond her early childhood years, Case’s character needs to revisit the lessons that Cassie’s tragic end created.

At the same time, Sharon has gained a degree and specialized experience as a counselor. So, she’s attempting to balance considerations as a mother while also understanding Faith’s needs.

Nikki and Sharon are on the same side. However, the request to have Nikki be part of a supportive family group effort will include drama because this is daytime. As to Faith’s future, a simple resolution is not projected.
