After discovering she won’t be able to carry a baby, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and husband Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will seek the help of a surrogate in order to have a child.

Y&R Spoilers – Abby Newman Asks Mariah Copeland A Big Question

This week Abby and Mariah meet for girl talk during which Abby reveals her new plans for starting a family.

Mariah is thrilled for her friend, but then she’s in for a shock when Abby asks Mariah to be her surrogate.

This is a huge decision for Y&R Mariah. On the one hand, she wants to help Abby make her motherhood dreams come true. But at the same time, Mariah knows a pregnancy is going to alter her life. She doesn’t know if she can handle this big change.

Tessa Porter’s Reaction

Mariah has a lot to consider and for guidance, she’s going to turn to her girlfriend Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). In a sneak preview of next week’s episodes, the couple is at Crimson Lights when Mariah asks if Tessa could picture her pregnant.

Of course, The Young and The Restless spoilers tease Tessa is going to be taken aback by the question. It wasn’t that long ago, the two were talking about possibly having children one day. Tessa’s first thought will be that Mariah’s ready to start a family.

But Mariah will then broach the subject about Abby wanting her to be a surrogate. According to upcoming previews, Tessa is going to have a surprising reaction.

It’s unknown whether Tessa will be for or against Mariah being a surrogate, but either way this is going to impact their relationship.

Y&R Spoilers – Sharon Newman Offers Her Advice

Aside from Tessa, Mariah’s mother Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will also offer her advice.

Sharon’s going to have concerns. This is a life-changing decision for Mariah. Even though it’s Abby and Chance’s baby she’ll be carrying, Mariah’s bound to grow attached to the child and it’ll be difficult to give the infant up.

Sharon was in a similar situation. As a teen mom, Sharon gave up her children for adoption so they could have a better life. It was a difficult choice for her to make, and she worries about Mariah going through the same ordeal.

Will Mariah Say Yes?

Mariah will have to take some time to think about the idea. Meanwhile, Abby’s anxiously going to be waiting for a decision.

When the time does come to give her answer, fans are curious what Mariah’s decision will be. Will Mariah help out her friend? Or will Abby be forced to find another surrogate to carry her baby?
