General Hospital viewers will recall that it was Anna who got Dante into treatment in the WSB facilities to begin with for his post-traumatic stress disorder and brainwashing. She was not allowed access through her WSB connections to get information on his treatment, so she asked Kevin if he could as a doctor. Kevin had known Dr. Warren Kirk, and had referred Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) to him recently.
Anna has to find out if Dante is safe and healed. Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) had noticed something off with Dante when he was setting up a playdate schedule for Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) with Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan). Valentin then contacted Anna and told her about it. She then met with Dante herself, but nothing seemed particularly amiss – but she didn’t click a pen either.
Valentin was using a pen to write the playdate schedule and Dante zoned out as he clicked his pen, which is his kill trigger to complete the mission that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) demanded Kirk brainwash into him. The mission, of course is for Dante to kill Anna herself and Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Kevin was able to access Kirk’s patient lists and treatment records, which he showed to Anna on his cell phone. However, the file on Dante was heavily redacted. Anna now faces the daunting task of putting together a puzzle that has missing pieces!
At this point, Anna and Peter are set to have a double wedding with Anna’s fiancé, Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Peter’s fiancée, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). This, of course would be the perfect place for Dante to kill two birds with one stone, completing his mission by taking out both Anna and Peter at the same time. Maxie is still planning much of the wedding, likely including the venue.
But Anna needs to figure this out and make sure their double wedding doesn’t turn into a tragedy! Both Kevin and Anna thought it strange that Kirk’s patient numbers dropped from twenty-four to three or four, and came to the conclusion that the WSB was using Kirk for a special project. Longtime General Hospital viewers and those who also watched the Port Charles spinoff will remember that Kevin is no stranger to the spying business.
His father, Victor Collins (Nicholas Pryor) was a spy, although Kevin didn’t find out until he was an adult and he and his father, who had been presumed dead, reconnected and mended fences. More recently, it was revealed that Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) had followed in their father’s footsteps and had been a DVX spy for most of the twenty-five years he was presumed dead – likely a DVX assassin.
Putting this puzzle together may involve more investigation of Liesl’s records, who Kevin also noted was one of Kirk’s patients. The big question is if her release from The Hague facilitated by Kirk is in her records, and her promotion to head of the WSB medical facility that Dante was most recently in, in Geneva, Switzerland? Kevin, Anna and Valentin may have to work on that puzzle together to get to the truth!
