Days of Our Lives comings and goings reveal that we will see the return of two legendary characters. During the week of February 1, Vivian Alamain (Linda Dano) will become a mother, but not in the traditional way. She has a twin delusion that involves the “Elani” babies. Plus, Laura Horton (Jamie Lyn Bauer) shows up in Salem with an explosive story to tell.

Vivian Alamain Becomes ‘Mother’

DOOL comings and goings reveal that Dr. Amanda Raynor (Victoria Platt) kidnapped Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price Grant’s (Sal Stowers) newborn babies from the hospital. She hid out in a hotel room with the twins until Ivan Marais (Ivan G’Vera) arrived to collect them. During the upcoming week, Ivan will make a special delivery to Vivian. The children were not kidnapped out of revenge. Vivian plans on raising the twins as her own.

DOOL Comings And Goings: Twin Delusion Explained

Head writer Ron Carlivati explained to Soap Opera Digest that Vivian is a woman who didn’t get the chance to raise Stefan DiMera and Jake DiMera (both played by Brandon Barash). When Stefan died, Vivian’s dreams of motherhood were destroyed. She eventually found out about Jake but didn’t feel a connection to him. Jake simply wasn’t the son she wanted and was nothing like her precious Stefan.

Vivian plans on using Eli and Lani’s twins as a way to create the motherhood experience that was taken from her decades earlier. They are being used as “surrogates” and are in a way, Vivian’s attempt to get back Stefan and fix how Jake turned out. It almost seems to be a psychotic delusion. Expect to see Vivian on February 3, 2021.

Laura Horton’s Explosive Confession

Days of Our Lives comings and goings reveal that Laura also returns during the week of February 1. She arrives in Salem to handle the situation with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien). Laura explains what happened all those years ago to Jennifer Horton (Cady McClain) and Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller). She clears up some confusion and confirms that Tiffany Rizczech was paid off and ordered to take Gwen and disappear. However, it wasn’t Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) that did that, it was Laura. It will be a bombshell that ignites Jack’s rage and makes him realize that Gwen was telling the truth.

Jack is able to look at the situation from Gwen’s point of view and realizes she isn’t really a monster. She’s just a very hurt little girl who wants Jack and Abigail to hurt as much as she does. He will reach out to Gwen and explain what really happened. He can’t change the past, but he can do something about the present and future. He wants the chance to step up and be the father that Gwen always wished for. But will it really be enough to fix Gwen’s damaged soul?
