My Guide To Kid-Friendly Attractions In Athens

We were counting down the days now! Pretty soon, our little family will be on our travels around Europe. I honestly cannot wait! One of the destinations on our list is the lovely Athens. Of course, one of my biggest issues will be finding fun, exciting things for Ava, Ella & Rose to do. I want to make sure that they have the very best time while we’re away. I really want them to have lasting memories of this epic vacation, which means that I need to do my research.

So, I’ve been looking at some of the places that I might want to visit when we’re in Athens. Luckily, it seems that there are loads of places where kids can have a great day out. Here are some of the places that I think look great for the entire family.

Attica Zoo Park

I’m sure that my kids will love nothing more than seeing beautiful animals roaming around them. After all, children tend to be fascinated by creatures! The Attica Zoo Park is one of the most famous zoos in the region, and for good reason. From beautiful flamingos to dolphins, there’s a whole load to see here.

Floisvos ‘ Park Playground

Just in the south of Athens, near the harbor, there’s one place that every family should visit. The Park Playground down there is suitable for kids of all ages. After doing a little research, I think that this place will be the perfect spot to take a little break with my children. They adore slides and swings, and so I know they will have a great time.

The Sea Turtle Protection Society

As I’ve mentioned before, I love any activity that is educational as well as fun for my Ava, Ella, and Rose. So, when I heard about the Sea Turtle Protection Society, I was ever-so-excited. This is a place where my kids can learn a little about marine biology (hurrah!) and see some real-life sea turtles. I just know that they will love this place, and so I can’t wait to take them there.

Hellenic Children’s Museum

Finally, there’s the Hellenic Children’s Museum. Guilty! This one is educational again. A museum is a place where children can learn all about the way that the world works. It looks as though there are exhibits on everything from the human body to food. I think that this would be a great way to pass some time with my little ones, and so it’s well worth checking out.

Have you been to Greece?  Can you recommend any kid-friendly activities?  Please share them with us in the comments!
