Summer is just around the corner and that means it’s time planning your next Disney vacation! If you’re thinking of taking your kids to Disneyland, California this year, you’ve come to the right place. The celebrated theme park has a whole host of fabulous rides that you will certainly want to try. There’s just one problem! There are so many different attractions that you may not know where to start. After all, you don’t want to be wasting your time on the teacups when there are bigger, better rides just around the corner, right? Here are some that you simply must not miss!
Space Mountain
Even if you haven’t been to Disneyland yet, you will have heard of Space Mountain. Arguably, this is one of the most famous rides at the park and with good reason. This one is oh-so-much more than simply a rollercoaster in the dark; it’s a truly unique experience. Once seated, the ride takes you through lit-up tunnels as you creep toward the highest of heights. Then, before you know it, you drop into what feels like oblivion. This is a thrill you will never forget.
Pirates of the Caribbean
Of course, we all know the famous film franchise by now, but that’s no reason to skip out on this story-based ride. If you have little kids, they will likely love exploring the pirate world and seeing all the rum-drinking, song-singing guys at their very best. This ride may be a little long, but it’s well worth your time.
Haunted Mansion
Are you ready for something a little… creepy? Well, you’d better get yourself down to the Haunted Mansion then. From ballroom dancing ghouls to creepy candlelight, there’s no way that this place won’t give you chills from start to finish. (It’s likely best not to take young kids on this one… Not unless you want them to have nightmares!) With freaky music and tons of special effects, here’s a ride you just can’t miss.
Peter Pan’s Flight
Imagine flying over London with your feet dangling in the air. Well, now you don’t have to! Peter Pan’s Flight is a favorite among families and you can see why. The magical, whimsical ride is just enchanting. The soundtrack “You can fly” gleefully plays along in the background as you gracefully glide over an old-fashioned version of London city. You might queue for a while for this one, but you will not be disappointed.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Finally, it’s the Big Thunder Railroad. This runaway mine train roller coaster is sure to give you a bumpy ride. While this is certainly one of the most popular rides, it’s never one that you will want to miss out on. After all, there’s something truly thrilling about being on an adventure like this one. Hint: Watch out for that final peak! It will make your stomach flip over more than you know.
