Angelina Jolie Opens Up About Her Children And Family Life After Brad Pitt Divorce
Angelina Jolie admits that she is taking things day by day. The actress has opened up for the first time about her life after she pulled the plug on her marriage to Brad Pitt and how her children are coping with everything. And according to the Hollywood star, everyone is learning to heal as a family.
Angelina shocked the entertainment world when she announced that she was divorcing Brad back in September of last year. Even though the couple were together for well over a decade, they were only married for two years. Angelina now has full-time custody of their six kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 9. Angelina says that both she and Brad work together to make sure that their kids and their priorities always come first.
She told Vanity Fair in a new interview, “We care for each other and care about our family, and we are both working towards the same goal. We’re all just healing from the events that led to the filing . . . They’re not healing from divorce. They’re healing from some . . . from life, from things in life.”
And while Angelina refuses to go into any detail about her divorce, she said that their hectic lifestyle was not one of their problems. Brad and Angelina were often photographed arriving in one airport and departing in another while zigzagging the world with their six children in tow.
She said in the interview, “[Our lifestyle] was not in any way a negative. That was not the problem. That is and will remain one of the wonderful opportunities we are able to give our children . . . They’re six very strong-minded, thoughtful, worldly individuals. I’m very proud of them.”
