Try spicing up your breakfast menu with these amazing chocolate chip pancakes. Not only will your children love eating the pancakes, but they enjoy making them too. The recipe is simple and ingredients are can easily be found in most kitchens.
Ingredients (makes about 8 medium sized pancakes)
1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
4 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
1-1/4 cup milk
1 egg
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 Cup + 1/4 Cup chocolate chips
Directions
1. In a large mixing bowl mix together your flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder
2. In a separate smaller bowl mix together your milk, egg, melt the butter, and vanilla extract
3. Pour your milk mixture over your dry mix and beat well until there are no clumps
4. Mix in 1 cup of chocolate chips
5. Use a griddle and turn your temperature to 300° and scoop 3 tablespoons of batter for each pancake, flip when the batter starts to bubble all the way through
6. Cook on both sides, stack, and top off with a few more chocolate chips
7. Optional step: In a small dish, microwave your remaining chocolate chips for 2-3 minutes on 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds until melted, then drizzle over your pancakes
