It’s December and that means the holiday season is one step closer to being here!
I love making simple, but cute holiday treats with my daughter like these Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups Trees. With a young child, it is great to do a baking activity that requires little prep and baking time. Little hands will have fun squeezing the icing tubes to decorate their own tree.
Ingredients
1 package of mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
1 package/bag of regular size Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
1 bag of Hershey’s Kisses
Wilton Icing in Red, Black and Green
Colorful sprinkles for the Christmas Trees
Directions –
#1. Open all the candy and discard the wrappers. You will need – 2 large PB cups, 2 mini PB cups and 1 Hershey’s Kiss for every Christmas tree.
#3. Next, some black icing to another Mini PB Cup and place it in the middle of the tree, then you can attach the top. Use the black icing to attach 1 Hershey’s Kiss to the middle PB cup and voila! You have an adorable chocolate and peanut butter Christmas tree.
Set the tree aside and repeat with the other candies until you run out.
#4. I placed my trees in the fridge for 30 minutes just to set and make sue they wouldn’t fall a part.
#5. After they set you can decorate with the other icing and sprinkle with the colorful nonpareils.
Enjoy!
