Review: Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted – The Unnecessarily Extended Edition Blu-ray Combo Pack

Are you ready for some Muppets fun?

I have been a huge fan of the Muppets since a kid, so I was naturally excited to check out Muppets Most Wanted – The Unnecessarily Extended Edition when it hit stores last week. I didn’t get the watch the film in theatres, so I was excited to see the gang in action again! 

Starring Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell, and Tina Fey, the film picks up immediately following the events of the hit The Muppets, as Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Animal and the entire Muppet gang head out on a world tour. But mayhem follows, as the Muppets find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine – the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit the Frog!

The Unnecessarily Extended Edition combo pack includes three versions of the film: The Original Theatrical Cut, the Statler and Waldorf Cut, and The Unnecessarily Extended Cut. Featuring 12 minutes of exclusive scenes not seen in theatres, the  combo pack includes hilarious bonus features and gag reel, The Longer, Longest Blooper Reel in Muppets History.  The release also includes the featurette “Rizzo’s Biggest Fan” and music video “I Can Give You What You Want,” performed by Bret McKenzie.

In celebration of the Muppets Most Wanted combo pack release, Disney has put together some fun Muppets activities. Children can help Kermit escape from the Siberian gulag maze, test their Muppets Most Wanted knowledge, color their favorite Muppet and help the gang spot the difference. 

The Muppets Most Wanted didn’t disappoint. Everything I love up the Muppets was present in this movie. The adventure was fun and with all Muppets features I couldn’t stop laughing.  I would definitely recommend the Muppets Most Wanted and it is a perfect addition to family movie night!
