Jimmy Fallon has had one great year!
In the new issue of People Magazine, the Tonight Show host opens about how his life has changed since taking over the show and becoming a father.
“When you have a baby, sleep is not an option. You can’t sleep. Even on vacation, you wake up at 6:30 a.m.,” he tells with a laugh.
In July, Fallon and his wife Nancy Fallon welcomed daughter Winnie Rose via surrogate after struggling with infertility for five years.
“This has been the craziest year of my life,” Fallon says. “But being a father is the most exciting, amazing thing that ever happened to me. And everything’s going well on the show. My life has never been this cool.”
The comedian admits he underestimated how happy being a father would make him.
“I didn’t think it was going to be this fun,” he says. “But everything just gets heightened when you have a baby. The volume gets turned up on life. I never knew I could be this happy, and that’s the truth.”
