Prince George was christened October 23, 2013 at the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace and he was baptized by the archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby. Several photos of the christening were released, but we found a new photo and it is stunning. Prince George is smiling at his mother, Kate Middleton who looks overjoyed. Daddy Prince William looks at Georgie lovingly. They certainly look like a happy family!
Only 22 guests were invited to attend the christening, the only royals who will be attending besides Zara will be The Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Camilla and Prince Harry.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate wore a cream Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen skirt suit with a ruffled jacket, which she paired with a matching cream fascinator. Prince William looked dapper in a dark suit and pale-blue tie. Prince George wore a hand made replica of the Royal Christening Robe, made by Angela Kelly, Dressmaker to The Queen.
After the service guests attended a private tea at Clarence House, hosted by Prince Charles. Guests were served christening cake, which is a tier from the couple’s wedding cake.
