National Geographic Little Kids focuses on bringing educational material to toddlers and pre-kingergarden aged children. Most parents are familiar with the Little Kids magazine, but the division also has a great Look & Learn series.
As usual, National Geographic offers beautiful photographs of animals and the natural world. These colorful photos capture the attention of young children while teaching them early learning concepts like numbers, matching, opposites, colors and more. Learning becomes fun!
These books are interactive and are perfect for toddler who love to be asked questions about what they are seeing. My 2-year-old daughter, Ava enjoyed matching the baby animals to their mommies and African animals to the patterns on their skin. In the process, she also learned the names of the animals and their distinguishing characteristics.
Most importantly, I love that the series helps extend my daughter’s view of the world and all the beauties it has to offer. I strongly believe that the earlier you teach a child about the world the more likely s/he will grow up to care for it.
