Jennifer Hudson recently spoke out about her child and how eating healthy foods in her household is simply non-negotiable. Let’s just start off by saying . . . . Sometimes eating healthy can be very difficult, especially if the stuff doesn’t taste good, and I think younger children share my sentiment. So what do you do as parents to excite your kids about eating healthy and nutritious? Are there ways you make eating fun, ways you make the foods appealing, add a bit of spice to healthy eating with your family?
Jennifer told Momfeeds, “Really, everyone loves choices. One of my favorite tricks is the fruit bowl. In fact, when I travel for work–which is often–I make sure that there’s a fruit bowl waiting for us at the hotel.”
What a good trick! I’m 23 years old and I, even now, enjoy a bowlful of CHOICES! Put a bowlful of kale chips in front of me and I will want to BURN THEM ALL. But throw a few nuts, maybe a couple chunks of mozzarella, in there and . . . . fun, interesting healthy eating!
She also spoke on the subject of exercising. “I’m the first to admit it: I don’t love working out. But I do love spending time with my fiance and son. So we go out for walks and we play a lot of basketball together.”
